No end to Garth Taylor’s talents
While most people are familiar with Mr Taylor's many chart-topping hits over the last 15 years, few know that the Edenvale resident is an avid fitness fanatic and has a passion for kickboxing.
There is no doubt that tenacity, patience and passion have played a role in defining South African singer and songwriter Mr Garth Taylor’s success.
While most people are familiar with Mr Taylor’s many chart-topping hits over the last 15 years, few know that the Edenvale resident is an avid fitness fanatic and has a passion for kickboxing.
Mr Taylor recently won the South African Amateur Kickboxing Champion title for 2014 in the category light contact.
The championship was held over the weekend of May 1 at the Tshwane Event Centre in Pretoria.
“I have always loved kickboxing and martial arts. This year I decided to try out for the provincial team and made it onto the Eastern Gauteng A Team.
“I have been training intensely and my hard work paid off after a few tough fights, which saw me walk away with the 2014 SA Champion title in my weight category. I am a strong believer that with hard work and perseverance, one can achieve anything they put their mind to,” said Mr Taylor.
