Fraudster arrested in Yeoville

According to Const Malatji, the police went to the man’s residence and conducted a search.

A 35-year-old man was arrested for fraud in Yeoville.

The arrest took place at the corner of Hunter and Kenmere streets on Thursday, May 15.

“Members of the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) followed up on information about a man involved in a passport syndicate,” said Constable Thabo Malatji, of the Yeoville SAPS.

According to Const Malatji, the police went to the man’s residence and conducted a search. “Passports and visa’s bearing different names were found at his house. He was arrested and detained at the Yeoville SAPS,” said Const Malatji. The man is expected to in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court, facing charges of fraud. @JoburgJourno
