Man hijacked

A man was hijacked in Galteemore Street, in Malvern, on Tuesday last week.

Constable Mpho Mashakane, the Cleveland SAPS communications officer, said a man apparently stopped his silver grey Opel Corsa bakkie in front of his house.

“He left the vehicle idling and went to buy airtime. There were other people in the car. When the man came back he was approached by two people,” said Const Mashakane.

One of the suspects approached him from the park and the other exited a VW Jetta 5.

The suspects had hand guns. One of them pointed a firearm at the man. The suspects jumped into the man’s vehicle and drove off followed by the Jetta.

“Nobody was injured,” said Const Mashakane.
