Every winter, Holy Rosary School holds numerous drives to help those suffering from hunger and cold and this year was no exception.
Hundreds of items of clothing, filling dozens of black bags, were received by the Methodist Church, Compass Children’s Home and Antifreeze.
One of the other beneficiaries of the clothing drive was the Phumelela Programme.
Phumelela is an outreach programme run by Holy Rosary for high school students from the Dikhatole Informal Settlement in Germiston.
78 children from grades 8 to 11 each received a few warm items of clothing and were grateful for the difference this will make.
