Writers 2000 presents one for the history buff
In the late 1990’s he was diagnosed as suffering from hemochromatosis, a condition prevalent in people of Celtic descent and he decided to delve seriously into studying the origins of the Celts.

The next meeting of Writers 2000 will take place on Saturday, June 28, with guest speaker Mr John Molloy.
Mr Molloy recently published his book The Rush to Senlac Ridge which covers the history of the Celtic people from Neolithic man up to Senlac Ridge, otherwise known as the Battle of Hastings, in 1066.
His interest in ancient history was sparked when he visited Stonehenge in 1964 and after that he started keeping notes and clippings on new historical discoveries.
Many of these are woven into his book.

10 years of research and writing followed and his book was the result.
Mr Molloy’s talk promises to be an interesting one, covering the significance of various historical findings and the process he went through in researching and writing his book..
The meeting will be held in the Inyoni Creek Clubhouse at the Rand Aid Complex on the corner of Wordsworth and Modderfontein roads in Lyndhurst.
There will be a R10 door fee for visitors.
