Fun run to be held
The annual Jeppe Fun Run and Walk will take place on August 10.
The race will start at 8am from the lower sports grounds and promises to be fun for the whole family.
“We hope to welcome our keen Kensington walkers and their families to join us once again. Dogs on leads are welcome. There will be refreshments on sale and safe parking available,” said Ms Carole Heming, the public relations officer of Jeppe High School for Girls.
The routes for the eight kilometre run and the five kilometre run and walk will be manned by marshals and the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD). One lane of Roberts Avenue will be closed and the school asks residents to be patient, or to use an alternate route.
Tickets are R40 each and are available from Jeppe pupils or the school.
