Hirsch’s holds domestic worker competition.

The winner’s names will also be included in the Domestic Worker of the Year competition

Hirsch’s will be holding a Domestic Worker of the Month competition across South Africa.

The competition is aimed at acknowledging domestic workers and the work they do.

The monthly winners will each receive a Hirsch voucher, a hamper from Unilever and Hirsch’s, and a certificate.

The winner’s names will also be included in the Domestic Worker of the Year competition, which has a prize of R5 000 and a bed and base set.

The COO of Hirsch’s, Ms Margaret Hirsch said, “Domestic workers are often taken for granted. I could never cope with my work load and the amount of travelling I do if I did not have a fantastic domestic worker to help me.”

“They take care of everything, from filling the gas bottles, to making sure the post is scanned through to me wherever I am. I think as working women, we start to rely on our domestic workers more. With a little bit of training they can upskill themselves and that is the object of the exercise, to help them thrive and grow as individuals,” said Ms Hirsch. @BedfordJourno
