Man burnt beyond recognition after accident

Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Services confirmed that a man was burnt beyond recognition after an accident on the N3 just before the Van Buuren Road off-ramp on July 27.

The victim was driving a truck when he was involved in an accident. The truck burst into flames.When the Ekurhuleni Emergency Services arrived on-scene, it was found that the driver was trapped inside the burning truck, after apparently crashing onto one of the pillars of the bridge on the N3 freeway.

Four lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed for traffic, allowing only one lane to operate. The cause of the accident is undetermined and the case is under police investigation. @BedfordJourno
