EMPD appoints 13 Chief Superintendents

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) management has prioritised the urgent appointment of 13 Chief Superintendents.

The aim of the appointments is to ensure efficiency, effectual control and planning at first line management level.

The Chief Superintendents were promoted from within the organisation with effect from Monday, September 1, and the majority will be deployed in the operations division with three being deployed in logistics, internal prosecution and data management.

Ahead of their challenging responsibilities, the new Chief Superintendents will undergo intensive training at the EMPD academy to hone their managerial, technical and communication skills.
