In an attempt to prevent crime in the Avenues, residents hope to implement a road closure from Third Avenue to Seventh Avenues and from Tenth Street to De Wet Street.
This will be done in conjunction with ADT Security and consulting engineers.
According to information received, a number of residents have already agreed to the road closure.
Those who initiated plans for the road closure believe that more residents would want their Avenues boomed off.
A meeting will be held for all Avenues residents interested in the road closure on November 25 at the Edenvale Bowling Club.
The meeting will be open from 6pm for a 6.30pm start.
