Edenglen homeowner targeted by vandals
Home owner offers a R15 000 reward for information.
An Edenglen home owner is offering a R15 000 reward for information which could lead to the convictions of those responsible for vandalising his home.
According to Mr Peter Bailey*, miscreants attacked his home with solid plastic paintball rounds on Saturday morning last week.
That night an attempt was made to throw half a brick through one of his home windows.
“We live in a secure road closure, our house is not along a main road and we have no idea why anyone would target us,” Mr Bailey said.
According to Mr Bailey, his wife woke up at around 3.30am after she heard a noise outside, but not thinking much of it she fell asleep again.
When the couple woke up later that morning they discovered that several solid plastic rounds had been fired at their home.
One of the bullets hit and broke a window of the couple’s BMW.
“That night we went out for dinner and when we returned we found half a brick in out front garden,” Mr Bailey said.
A case of malicious damage to property was registered with the Edenvale SAPS.
“Someone knows something and if the information passed to the Edenvale SAPS will lead to a conviction of those responsible, I will give whoever it is R15 000,” said Mr Bailey.
He added that all tip-offs will remain anonymous.
Tip-offs should be referred to the Edenvale SAPS Detective Unit on 011 553-8661.
