A man choked during robbery

When the victim's wife, who was in the other room, heard the noise she went to investigate.

A man (68) was choked during a robbery at his home in Nymph Street, Kensington, on Saturday, November 29.

The Cleveland SAPS communications officer, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said the victim was working on his computer in his bedroom when a man entered. He was choked and assaulted.

“When the victim’s wife, who was in the other room, heard the noise she went to investigate. She then screamed and that attracted the attention of the security guard who were patrolling the area. The guard came to their rescue and called the police. A 31 year old man was arrested on the scene. He will appear in court soon,” said Const Mashakane.
