Edenvale’s Riccardo is a rising star
He rode the bike for approximately a year, competing in various club and Northern Regional races in the 150cc Class.
Edenvale resident, Riccardo Pultrone, has a passion for Mini Moto racing.
The 17-year-old, grade 10 Edenvale High School pupil, started racing Mini Moto’s in 2011.
That year he finished in second place in the junior B class on his Honda 150cc.
He rode the bike for approximately a year, competing in various club and Northern Regional races in the 150cc Class.
At the beginning of 2013, Riccardo started racing Northern Region races on his new Honda 250cc and finished in fourth place overall in his class.
Riccardo attended the SAMRA camp, organised by Neil Harran, in 2013 and has progressed immensely.
He has received training from fellow South African, Clinton Pienaar (SA) and Joey Litgens from Holland.
Riccardo will take part in an eight-hour endurance race in Cape Town at the Killarney Race Track on December 13.
Riccardo will be ending off the year by participating in the endurance race.
In 2015 he aims to take the championship title.
