Poetry classes ready to commence

The founder of the Rhodes Park poetry project, Mrs Faradiba Morton, said they are ready to start the year.

The first class will be on January 31 and classes will be held once a month.

“This year we will write our own story book, compiled by the children. I will teach them to do creative writing. I hope it will be ready for the book fair so that we can publish this year. We are going to work hard,” she said.

The schedule for 2015 is as follows:

  •  January 31
  •  February 28
  •  March 28
  •  April 25
  •  May 30
  •  June 27
  •  July 25
  •  August 29
  •  September 26
  •  October 31
  •  November 28
  •  December 19.
  • Mrs Morton is appealing to the community to help with any donations for the children.

“You can send cake, biscuits, juice, sweets or crisps. Anything you would like to give us would be appreciated. Please do not send money with the children,” she added.
