Man arrested for threatening girlfriend with firearm
A 29-year-old woman was at her home in Mordaunt Street in Jeppestown when she started arguing with her boyfriend.

A 30-year-old man was arrested for pointing a firearm at his girlfriend.
The incident occurred on Sunday, February 8, at about 1pm in the afternoon.
A 29-year-old woman was at her home in Mordaunt Street in Jeppestown when she started arguing with her boyfriend.
According to Warrant Officer Richard Munyayi, from the Jeppe SAPS, the boyfriend allegedly assaulted the woman and then took a firearm from a drawer and threatened to shoot her.
W/O Munyayi said the victim fainted from shock and when she woke up later, the suspect had locked her inside the house. She called the police and a case was opened.
The suspect was found and subsequently arrested.
The suspect is expected to appear in court soon while investigations are continuing.
