BREAKING NEWS: Four suspected house robbers arrested in Highway Gardens

The driver of the vehicle made a U-turn on Minuach Road and then turned into Cunningham Road

Four men suspected of being involved in house robberies were arrested in Highway Gardens this morning.

The acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, Lieutenant Colonel Robbie Roberts, said the arrest took place during a routine stop-and-search.

“We were driving along Minuach Road when we spotted a white Audi A3 with four occupants,” said Lt Col Roberts.

He added that the driver of the vehicle made a U-turn on Minuach Road and then turned into Cunningham Road.

“The driver then tried to make a second U-turn in Cunningham Road. I ordered the driver to stop his vehicle,” said Lt Col Roberts.

When the car was searched, Lt Col Roberts found an unlicensed firearm, gloves and other implements used to gain access to residential properties.
