20 month prison sentence for robbery

Sinethemba Bambiso (22) was sentenced to 20 months in prison on February 25 for robbery that took place on December 12 last year.

According to Warrant Officer Richard Munyai, the victim was walking along End and President streets at about 12.20am when he was approached by Bambiso and another man.

The suspects grabbed the victim and took his bag, which contained four cellular phones, books and house keys.

The victim screamed for help and several people came to his aid. Some of the people then chased the two suspects and managed to detain Bambiso.

Bambiso was found in possession of the victim’s belongings.
