Budget briefing to take place

Edenvale ward councillors, Clrs Heather Hart and Bill Rundle, have invited residents of Edenvale and the surrounding areas to an EMM 2015/16 budget briefing.

The event will be presented by Clr Eddie Taylor, the DA Shadow Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for finance.

He will brief residents on proposed tariff increases and how the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) intends to spend residents’ rates and taxes.

Clr Taylor will also brief residents on the possibility of further property rates increases if the EMM implements its proposed Institutional Review.

The briefing will take place on March 17 at 6.30pm in the Edenvale Council Chambers, situated at entrance 1 of the Edenvale Customer Care Centre in Tenth Avenue, Edenvale.
