Rhodes Park Poetry Buddies to host annual celebration
The Rhodes Park Poetry Buddies will host its annual celebration on April 25 at the Rhodes Park Library.

The Rhodes Park Poetry Buddies will host its annual celebration on April 25 at the Rhodes Park Library.
The event will start at 9.30am.
This event will celebrate the children and is aimed at encouraging the children to aspire to great things and to become future leaders.
Ms Faradiba Morton said, “We will have a few guests including Mmakgari and Bra Don as speakers for the children.”
The guests will be welcomed in a form of poetry or speeches. All artists are welcome to address the children and give them the attention they deserve.
“We will showcase some books for the children and we hope to make a lot of sales so please feel free to invite guests to this special occasion,” said Ms Morton.
“I have joined the Khanya College/Jozi Book Fair and we are definitely in full support of the platform our children have been blessed with,” said added.
The Jozi Book Fair will also be at Wits from September 11 to 13, with the special guest of the Book Fair Ms Gcina Mhlope.
Ms Morton said, “We would like all the guests you invite to be encouraged to support the Jozi Book Fair as well as this event, which is aims to encourage everyone with the culture of reading and writing.”
The Jozi Book Fair will represent and provide sufficient flyers on April 25 to promote the event.
The theme is Children’s Literature and Childhood and the Jhb Rhodes Park Library Poetry Buddies is included in the event.
Ms Morton urges residents to come and support the children at the Book Fair and the World Book Day at Wits, as well as the Rhodes Park Library.
“We would appreciate any support for the library in other events, especially because they have been so gracious to the children. Supporting them is really important,” said Ms Morton.
