Holy Rosary School recently held its annual rowing dinner, which celebrates the school’s successes over the past season.
Savannah Stewart was awarded trophies for the best cox after she won a gold medal in the U/19 first 4x at the Gauteng Championships, a silver medal at the South African Schools Boat Race and a silver medal at the South African School Championships.
Tyler Venske and Courtney Kan were recipients of the Reidy Trophy for Most Successful Double/Pair Crew. The girls won a gold medal and set a new record time in the U/19 double event at the South African Championships.
Jade Alves was awarded the Guliano Trophy for Oarswoman of the Year.
Jade had an undefeated season in the scull and won three gold medals at the Gauteng Championships and a gold and silver medal at the South African Championships.
