Gautrain fares and timetable revised
The multi-tiered fare structure that was introduced in the previous year on the general passenger services will remain unchanged.

The Gauteng MEC for Roads and Transport, Dr Ismail Vadi, announced the yearly revisions to the Gautrain fares and timetable.
The revisions will be effective from June 1.
Commuter and airport passengers are notified that on their rail trip and time of trip, there will be an increase in fare that is in line with the consumer price index of between four and six percent.
Daily parking will thus also increase by R1, from R18 to R19.
The bus fares during off peak periods, which passengers will recall were substantially decreased on January 15, has stayed the same.
The multi-tiered fare structure that was introduced in the previous year on the general passenger services will remain unchanged.
Users travelling with a period product, or who enter stations within the different time periods specified, will experience an approximate 5.5 percent increase.
Dr Vadi said, “The Gautrain remains a highly cost-effective, safe, reliable and convenient transport solution for many commuters in Gauteng.”
