Police and Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) arrested 23 suspects in Yeoville in the past weekend.
Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji said the suspects were arrested for offences ranging from driving under the influence of alcohol, assault, shoplifting, possession of stolen property, traffic violation, contravention of the immigration laws and armed robbery.
“Most of the suspects will appear in Johannesburg and Hillbrow Magistrate Court soon,” Const Malatji said.
