Criminal tries to hide cell in bin

A man was arrested after he tried to hide a suspected cellular phone into a dustbin on Rocky Street in Yeoville on Saturday.

Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji said police were on routine patrol when they notice a man suspiciously dropping something in a dustbin.

“When the officers checked it, it was discovered that it was a cellular phone. When the man asked why was he dropping it, he could not account. He was arrested for possession of stolen property,”  Const Malatji said.
