Man dies after machine amputates his arm

The deceased, believed to be 30 years old, is said to have been working on a machine at a business premises in the area when his arm was caught in the machine.

ER24 has confirmed that a man died earlier today after a machine amputated his arm.

The incident took place in Elandsfontein.

The deceased, believed to be 30 years old, is said to have been working on a machine at a business premises in the area when his arm was caught in the machine.

“When ER24 paramedics arrived on-scene, they found the man lying next to it. He was assessed and found to have sustained severe injuries and blood loss after his left arm was amputated,” said the emergency medical care network in a statement.

The man was treated and transported to the closest medical facility where he died as a result of his injuries.

The exact cause of the incident is unknown.
