28 arrested in joint weekend operation
Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) and Yeoville SAPS operation led to the arrest of 28 people over the weekend.
The Yeoville SAPS, together with the Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD)conducted a joint operation over the past weekend.
A total of 28 suspects were arrested for various crimes.
Suspects were arrested for assault, damage to property, possession of dagga, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of stolen property and shoplifting.
According to Constable Thabo Malatji, from the Yeoville SAPS, most of the suspects are expected to appear in the Hillbrow Magistrate’s Court soon.
