BREAKING NEWS: Mother and three children injured in Jeppestown flat fire

Mother and children transported to Johannesburg Hospital.

At least four people were injured this evening, three of them young children, when a fire broke out in a flat at the corner of Jules and Hans streets in Jeppestown.

Paramedics were called to the scene by fire services, where they found four patients being treated by fire fighters.

On assessment, the ER 24 paramedics found that three male children aged 7, 2, and 7 months and their 32-year-old mother had sustained minor burns.

Paramedics treated the four patients for their injuries and smoke inhalation. They were then transported to Johannesburg Hospital.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
