Celebrity speedster case provisionally withdrawn – report

South African singer and actress, Ms Thembi Seete (38) was arrested in Edenvale on June 18 for travelling at 119km/h in a 60km/h zone.

The motorists were caught by the EMPD’s speed enforcement unit between 6am and 11am on Andries Pretorius Street.

The highest speed recorded on the day was 123km/h on the stretch of road.

Ms Seete and the eight other motorists were charged with reckless and negligent driving at the Edenvale Police Station.

Offenders were released on bail the same day.

According to reports, the case against the songstress was provisionally withdrawn while she completes an offender’s programme through Nicro.
