Two men robbed a woman of her cellular phone at a store on the corner of Webb and Cavendish streets.
The incident occurred on August 14.
The Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the two men entered the store shortly after 10pm, pretending to be customers.
“One of the suspects pointed a firearm at the woman. They took her cellular phone and an undisclosed amount of money before they fled,” said Const Malatji.
Once the men had fled, the woman phoned the police.
One of the suspects was arrested a few blocks from the scene.
“An unlicensed 9mm firearm and the woman’s cellular phone were recovered during the arrest,” said Const Malatji.
