Man kills woman, hands himself in

A 30-year-old man surrendered himself to the Yeoville SAPS on Monday, September 7, following the death of a woman on Saturday.

The Yeoville SAPS communications officer, Constable Thabo Malatji, said the SAPS was looking for the man following the woman’s death.

“On Saturday, we were called to the corner of Webb and Fortesque streets, where we found the body of a woman lying in a pool of blood. Eyewitnesses said the woman and the suspect were arguing. It is believed the man assaulted the woman before fleeing the scene,” said Const Malatji.

The man handed himself in to the SAPS on Monday, in the presence of his attorney.
