Jeppe hosts 34th annual athletics event

Jeppe High School for Boys hosted the 34th Annual Inter-house Athletics event on September 19.

Jeppe finished in third position overall.

It was a mass participation event, which consisted of an A and B division.

The event organiser, Mr Brendan Gittins, said boys schools from across Gauteng attended.

“This forms part of the Jeppe High School for Boys’ 125 years of existence celebrations,” said Mr Gittins.

Supporters from the other schools displayed great team spirit.

Jeppe pupil, Cameron Van Tonder’s parents Mr Corrie and Mrs Claudia Van Tonder, were proud of their son as well as the event.

“We enjoyed the event and we are proud of our son for placing first in the 200m sprint,” said Mrs Van Tonder.
