Cleveland SAPS confirmed a guard was shot and injured this morning during a shooting at the Shell service station at the corner of Queen Street and Langerman Drive in Kensington.

“Reports are that it was an attempted robbery. We have no confirmation yet on whether it was an attempted robbery at the Shell or whether the criminals targeted an individual,” said Constable Mpho Mashakane.

She said one firearm was recovered.
