Local speed painter makes it to the tv screen
"Being a contestant on this popular show is a phenomenal platform to showcase our paintings."
Edenvale resident, Mr Shane Turner and Sunnyridge resident Mr Graham Hide, also known as Paint Addiction, are participating in the well-known television show SA’s Got Talent.
They have been working together for 15 years and started painting in nursery school.
They said their paintings hold an element of mystery and intend on blowing their audiences away.
“Being a contestant on this popular show is a phenomenal platform to showcase our paintings,” said Mr Hide.
He said they are required to perform their talents for two minutes on the show.
According to his partner, Mr Turner, all the contestants have great talents and the experience of being on the show marks a lot of hard work.
“It’s an ongoing experience and the show has pushed us to work even harder and develop ourselves more,” he said.
The artists both hold more than 20 years of artistic experience and said they are expanding their techniques.
“Who we are is not much of a choice – it is a lifestyle. To earn a living working as an artist is fantastic. I don’t think we could even imagine a better platform to showcase ourselves on than SA’s Got Talent,” said Mr Turner.
