More light is expected to be shed on the Rhodes Park double murder and rape case when one suspect appears in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court today.
The man was arrested during the early hours of Friday morning in Yeoville.
On Saturday, October 17, two couples were attacked by 12 men while at Rhodes Park.
The men were assaulted and their hands were tied together with their clothes. The suspects then threw the men into the lake.
The bodies were later retrieved by police divers.
One of the women was raped while the other managed to fight off her attackers.
