MCS reveals its 2016 calendar

The Modderfontein Conservation Society launched its 2016 wall calendar at its November evening meeting last week.

The Modderfontein Conservation Society launched its 2016 wall calendar at its November evening meeting last week.

The calendar is the same size and format as last year and has just a single full-colour illustration of a tranquil scene at the Fish Eagle Dam within the Modderfontein Reserve.

The photograph was taken by Mr Keith Martin early one morning, when he was on Honorary Ranger duty.

Ms Lucia Cowan, the designer, said the enlarged panels for notes are user friendly and the print is in a dark brown, signifying an earthy touch.

“Due to the generous sponsorship of AEL Mining Services and the Greater Modderfontein Property Umbrella Association, we have been able to maintain the price of R25,” said Mr Robbie Vermont, the society’s membership secretary.

The calendars are on sale from Mr Tebogo Raolane at the Modderfontein Post Office in Queen Street.

To purchase, phone 011 608-2551.
