The ward 66 councillor, Clr Carlos da Rocha, is offering a reward for anyone who can help stop water meter theft in his ward.
Clr Da Rocha offered a reward of R500 from his own pocket for anyone who can identify the buyers of the stolen meters.
“I have had enough. So now I am offering a reward from my own pocket for any positive information that will lead to the arrest of the thieves.
“The reward will also be paid for information on the buyers of these stolen meters. I will not go on assumptions. I want solid evidence. I need to send the police to the premises of the buyer and find stolen meters for the information to be legit,” said Clr Da Rocha.
