Pikitup continues to experience service delivery disruptions

"This illegal work stoppage has affected the refuse collection for residents and business owners."

Pikitup has issued a statementĀ  stating that the City of Johannesburg Waste Management Entity, continues to experience service delivery disruptions due to an illegal work stoppage by its employees affiliated to the union SAMWU.

“This illegal work stoppage hasĀ  affected the refuse collection for residents and business owners whose waste is collected on Thursdays and Fridays, in all the regions of the City of Johannesburg,” the statement reads.

‘Pikitup is appealing to residents and business owners to bear with us and to continue to leave your bins and excess waste inside your yards until further notice. Pikiup management apologises for the inconvenience caused by the disruption.”
