Local businesses invited to support the Better Bedfordview Golf Day fundraiser

Non-profit organisation Better Bedfordview is calling on local businesses to get behind its 2026 Golf Day as hole sponsors.

Community improvement non-profit organisation Better Bedfordview is calling on all local businesses to support its 2026 Golf Day by sponsoring a hole. The Golf Day, which takes place on November 13 at Glendower Golf Club, will raise funds for Better Bedfordview’s ongoing work to clean up, maintain and improve Bedfordview.

Fourball entries are almost sold out but Better Bedfordview says that it needs more businesses to get behind its golf day as hole sponsors.

“This is an opportunity to showcase your business, support our most important Better Bedfordview fundraiser and be part of a fantastic day on the course. It’s also a chance for businesses to connect with our community and show that they care about a better Bedfordview,” said Better Bedfordview chairperson Marina Constas.

She thanked BMW Bedfordview for once again coming on board as the lead sponsor of the Better Bedfordview Golf Day. “We urge other businesses to follow their example and get involved. All local businesses are benefiting from Better Bedfordview’s work to keep our roads, pavements, parks and public spaces clean, green and beautiful,” she stated.

“A better neighbourhood makes every business more profitable because customers prefer shopping, dining and doing business in areas that are clean, safe and inviting. Employees are also more motivated and productive when they work in a safe, well-maintained environment.

“By sponsoring a hole at our golf day, local businesses can help Better Bedfordview keep making a visible difference in our neighbourhood,” she said.

R100 000 for a hole in one

Entrants in this year’s Better Bedfordview Golf Day stand in line to win great prizes. The first prize is a two-night stay for two at Fancourt, including two rounds of golf on either the Montagu or Outeniqua course.

There is also R100 000 up for grabs on the 14th hole. Generous sponsor Investec has offered a golfer who scores a hole-in-one on this hole a prize of R50 000, with a further R50 000 to be donated to NPO Better Bedfordview, Constas explained.

“Our annual golf day is an important opportunity for the community to come together behind the work that makes Bedfordview a better place to live, work, play and do business,” she said.
