Bedfordview residents welcome Krejcir sentencing

Krejcir, a former resident of Kloof Road, was sentenced to 35 years imprisonment by Judge Collin Lamont.

Bedfordview residents welcomed the sentencing of Czech fugitive Radovan Krejcir at the Johannesburg High Court earlier today.

Krejcir, a former resident of Kloof Road, was sentenced to 35 years imprisonment by Judge Collin Lamont.

One resident said the powers that be should deport Krejcir to his home country, the Czech Republic. “I cannot comprehend why the SA tax payers must be saddled with the costs of prosecuting and incarceration of this [man]. He should have been deported to his home country years ago,” said the resident.

Echoing the same sentiment was another resident who said “He should be deported and let his own take good care of him”.

Krejcir was convicted in absentia on November 28 of fraud and attempted murder in his home country.

He was sentenced to 15 years imprisonment.
