JUST IN: Messages of support pour in for ANC Ekurhuleni volunteers

Reports suggest that at least 10 people have died and 50 sustained injuries.

The ANC in Ekurhuleni together with the national mother body have expressed shock after news broke that one of the buses carrying its volunteers was involved in an accident.

The passengers were en route from the party’s manifesto launch in Port Elizabeth.

The accident happened in the North West earlier today.

Reports suggest that at least 10 people have died and 50 sustained injuries.

The party’s women’s league has since issued a statement.

“This is indeed a sad day for all the structures of the ANC and the the community of Ekurhuleni Region. Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and those injured,” said the league.

Public Protector, Advocate Thuli Madonsela has also sent condolences to families of the victims as well as the ANC.
