EMM offers free computer training

The pilot project will begin on May 6 at the Germiston Knowledge Centre in the Germiston Library.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) is calling for residents to enrol for free computer training.

The EMM’s spokesperson, Mr Themba Gadebe, said the pilot project will begin on May 6 at the Germiston Knowledge Centre in the Germiston Library.

“In an effort to keep up with the demands of the e-generation, the EMM is inviting its residents to a free on-line Microsoft Information Communication Technology (ICT) Training Program,” said Mr Gadebe.

Residents who are interested in attending must register at the Germiston Library, which is located at the corner of Queen and Cross streets, before May 3.

“Registered candidates will be tutored on all office suite programmes for a month. Classes will commence from 9am until 3pm every Friday,” said Mr Gadebe.

Mr Jeffrey Masiroe, at the Germiston Library, can be contacted on 011 999-0522 or Germlib.Germlib@ekurhuleni.gov.za for more information.
