R100 000 reward offered for arrest of most wanted criminal

The Hawks are offering a reward of R100 000 to anyone with information which can lead to the arrest of most wanted suspect Thabiso Ledwaba, also known as Kagiso Linken, after he escaped from the Palm Ridge High Court in March.

Ledwaba escaped after pointing a firearm at officers.

Ledwaba had previously given the police more than seven different names, two identity numbers and five dates of birth.

He, was awaiting sentencing after he was found guilty for the murder of German luxury car dealer Uwe Gemballa who had ties with convicted criminal and former Bedfordview resident Radovan Krejcir.

He also faces over nine charges ranging from murder, attempted murder, cash in transit robbery, possession of firearm and escaping from lawful custody.

In 2010 the Edenvale SAPS confirmed a man believed to be Uwe Gemballa was killed in a house in First Avenue in Edenvale, his body was later found in a shallow grave in Pretoria.
