Three injured as bakkie rolls off R24 in Bedfordview

Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Three men were injured this morning after their bakkie rolled off the R24 and landed upside down on Boeing West Road in Bedfordview.

ER24 paramedics, along with other services, arrived on the scene and found the bakkie lying on its roof in the middle of the road.

On assessment, paramedics found that three men had sustained minor to moderate injuries in the collision. Fortunately, no serious or fatal injuries were reported on the scene.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to Life Roseacres for further treatment.

It is understood that the driver swerved to avoid a collision. He then apparently lost control of the vehicle, causing it to roll up the embankment and onto Boeing West Road.

Local authorities were on scene to direct traffic as well as to investigate the cause of the collision.
