103rd Birthday celebrations at Edenhaven

Living a long and healthy life is an achievement on its own, however not many people can claim that they are over 100 years old.

Mrs Hettie Butze, an Edenhaven resident, celebrated her 103rd birthday at the retirement village on June 29.

Mrs Butze is the oldest person currently living at the retirement village.

According to Matron Anita Fourie, from the retirement village, Mrs Butze has had a real impact on the residents since moving to Eden Haven in 2009.

“Hettie is a real special person and is a true inspiration in this home, even at her age she still participates in the activities at the home,” said Matron Fourie during the birthday celebration.
