LATEST: One arrested for Bez Valley man’s murder

According to reports neighbours of the deceased claimed to have heard two men having an argument.

Jeppe police officers arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with the murder of the 68-year-old Bezuidenhout Valley man.

It is believed the murder took place at around 6.30pm yesterday, July 10.

“On their arrival, police officers found a 68-year-old man lying in a pool of blood inside his house. A suspect with blood on his jacket was also found at the scene,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.

According to reports neighbours of the deceased claimed to have heard two men having an argument.

“The suspect stabbed the deceased and tried to run away but the community chased and apprehended him,” W/O Munyai said.

The motive of the argument is not yet known but police investigations are continuing.

The suspect will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
