WATCH: Motorist attacked at Bruma intersection

'Many motorists approach this intersection in dread and have pepper spray or other protection ready.'

Video footage of a motorist being attacked at Bruma intersection left social media users aggravated and concerned about safety.

“I am shocked by the video circulating on social media of a motorist being assaulted by window washers,” said DA MPL Jack Bloom.

“Many motorists approach this intersection in dread and have pepper spray or other protection ready,” he said.

The NEWS reported in June that Bedfordview residents urged motorists not to support the windscreen washers.

“The Bruma [Marcia Street and Albertina Sisulu] intersection is the worst. My daughters have been intimidated by those windscreen washers,” said one resident.
