The Nelson Mandela Foundation confirmed this morning that race car driver Mr Gugu Zulu died while attempting to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.

Mr Zulu was part of a group of people, which included Bedfordview couple Mr Vis and Advocate Mona Naidoo who were taking part in the Trek4Mandela expedition.

In a statement released on Monday, the Nelson Mandela Foundation announced that Mr Zulu died early this morning while summiting the mountain.
