Suspect nabbed for possession of an unlicensed firearm

“Upon arrival the complainant told the police that a man pointed a firearm at him the previous day, on September 10. He took them to a place where the suspect was and pointed him out. The police searched the suspect and found him in possession of a firearm. The firearm had one magazine with six live rounds. The firearm was unlicensed and its serial numbers had been filed off,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.

“The suspect was arrested and detained at Jeppe SAPS.

“He was charged with possession of unlicensed firearm. Police investigations are still continuing,” said W/O Munyai.
