I knew at a very young age that I wanted to become a police official. I always wanted to make a difference in the community.
Cleveland SAPS has appointed a new communication officer, Captain Johan Jordaan, who will be working closely with Cleveland SAPS spokesperson Constable Mpho Mashakane.

“I started working for the SAPS at Ficksburg in as a student constable. In 1988 I went to Pretoria SAPS College. I came to Cleveland SAPS in November 1988 and was working as a constable and I have never looked back.”
He said he would like to strengthen the communication between the SAPS and the community.
Captain Jordaan said he aimed to build a sound relationship with the community and to work with all stakeholders involved.
“That includes working with the media. I would like to see the community join hands with the police,” said Captain Jordaan.
