SVDP youth serve the community

JOBURG – The SVDP youth was formed in 2015 after seeing a need to help the less fortunate.

Saint De Faint Vincent De Paul (SVDP) is a group of 24 youths from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Malvern.

SVDP was formed in 2015 with the aim of helping the less fortunate.

“The church formed the youth group in order to assist in feeding residents and handing over donations,” said church president Lindsay Peters.

The group members visit the poor and the homeless.

“They give dignity and love to the abandoned, elderly people and street children,” he said.

Residents in the community who would like to become part of the youth group as volunteers to assist in feeding schemes can contact Lindsay Peters on 064 703 4352.
