Motorists are advised to take caution while travelling on the roads this afternoon as a sand storm has swept across parts of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni.
Here are a view tips for driving in a sand storm:
- Travel at a speed suitable for limited visibility.
- Turn your headlights on.
- Use the painted lane striping to guide you.
- If possible, look for a safe place to pull off the road if needed.
In October 2014 there was a similar sand storm.
